The Future
We’re Building
“Picture a Saturday morning in Lions black and tan.”
Game days on Saturdays and Sundays, training nights under lights — goalposts up, the ground marked and a Sylvania Lions banner on the fence at the Lions Den, our future home field, with kids from our own streets running out together.
That’s the future this proposal is working towards.

Why the Lions
A club built around community.
The Sylvania Lions proposal is about creating a strong local rugby league identity for Sylvania & Sylvania Waters and building a club where players, parents, volunteers and supporters can feel part of something from the very beginning.
Our vision is for a welcoming grassroots club where kids are known by name, families get involved and everyone has an opportunity to contribute to building the Pride.
While Sylvania & Sylvania Waters are at the heart of the club's identity, interest from families and supporters in surrounding communities is welcome.

Our Vision
More than a game.
A stronger community.
Junior Rugby League
Creating opportunities for boys and girls to enjoy rugby league and become part of the Lions community.
Girls League Tag
Building opportunities for girls to participate and become part of the Pride.
Community
A grassroots club built around players, parents, volunteers, supporters and local families.
Local Identity
Creating a rugby league identity that Sylvania & Sylvania Waters can call their own.
The Pride
Building a culture where players and families feel connected, valued and part of something bigger.
Community Support
Building a new club takes a community.
You don't need to have children intending to play to support the proposal. Residents, parents, grandparents, former players, rugby league supporters, volunteers, local businesses and community organisations all help make a grassroots club possible.
Every expression of interest helps us better understand the level of community support behind establishing the Sylvania Lions.
